10 – The Muppet Christmas Carol

Ah Kermit and Miss Piggy – hard to watch back now that they have gone their separate ways!! Great music, great stories and the hilarious muppets! What more can you want? The kids will love the puppets and the songs that follow Dicken’s classic story.

9 – Four Holidays

Reese Witherspoon, can you get much better?! One of the most beautiful actresses paired with the hilarious Vince Vaughn, makes for a Christmas comedy that discusses the complex issues of visiting multiple families in one day, all for the love of Christmas.

8 – The Santa Claus 2

The Santa Claus 2 follows on from the amazing movie that is The Santa Claus, with a storyline that engages all audiences. Sometimes, a sequel can flop – and thankfully this one certainly didn’t. We adore Tim Allen all over again, and the Christmas magic that he brings. This movie highlights the importance of love and family, which we absolutely love.

7 - Christmas with the Kranks

HILARIOUS, HILARIOUS, HILARIOUS! Once again, Tim Allen stars in a Christmas classic, alongside the comical Jamie Lee Curtis. Trying to win the ‘best decorated street’ competition proves to be funny and disastrous. A family with very little Christmas spirit, are eventually swayed by the joyful people around them.

6 – The Polar Express

The Polar Express is a beautifully animated musical that takes a young boy on the ride of his life to the infamous North Pole. All about the magic of Christmas, this movie is perfect for all ages and will demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas spirit. Watch the kid’s faces light up as The Polar Express makes it journey to the North Pole.

5 – The Grinch

Ah The Grinch… Personally it took me a while to warm up to this movie. To be quite honest, Jim Carrey frightened me a little as this green hairy monster who hated the thought of Christmas and all that comes with it! But the more I watched it and understood, I came to love the role of the Grinch and how one little girl’s love of Christmas can change even the most cynical person.

4 – Love Actually

A fabulous cast, jam-packed with stars, and a film that intertwines enlightening Christmas stories. There is a story line everyone can relate to in this movie, plus Hugh Grant makes it more than worth your while!

3 - National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Basically, this is number 3 because Dad would be furious if I hadn’t rated it highly! More suited to the adult generation, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation captures the hilarious moments so many families are faced with throughout the festive season. No matter how many times you’ve seen it before, it continues to provide ample tears of laughter.

2 – Elf

Will Ferrell, the King of Comedy, stars as Buddy the elf who is just trying to fit in. Extremely passionate about Christmas and all that comes with it, this film will have you in stitches whilst promoting the true meaning of Christmas.

1 – The Santa Claus movie

How could this not be number 1? A timeless classic for the whole family, Tim Allen stars as a middle-aged father who suddenly finds himself wearing the big red suit and in charge of 12 reindeer, attempting to get presents to kids all over the world! Plenty of laughs and smiles accompany this fantastic family festive film.
